OrientationInternational Sophomore Orientation

More detailed schedules will be provided closer to International Sophomore Orientation.

Move-In

Move-In Day will take place on Monday, August 23.* Ideally, please arrive on campus earlier in the day in order to allow for Covid-19 testing and vaccination as needed. Upon your arrival to campus, OISS and your international orientation leaders will be there to greet and guide you.

*We will provide more specific about the exact hours and process for move-in procedures in mid-July.

International Sophomore Orientation

Sophomore orientation will be held from Tuesday, August 24 through Wednesday, August 25.

During this orientation, students will get to know other international students in their class, as well as OISS staff.

Once you arrive on campus, OISS will help you get acquainted with campus, as well as settling in (shopping and banking).

Additional details about International Sophomore Orientation will be available in mid-July.

Religious Observances

The Office of Religious, Spiritual, and Ethical Life (ORSEL) offers connections with a wide variety of religious organizations on campus and in the St. Louis area. Please reach out to ORSEL to get connected with campus ministry groups and St. Louis organizations.

Religious services sometimes occur during International Sophomore Orientation. It is our goal that students will be able to fully observe their faith, practices, and traditions without missing important information. Students should reach out to their FYI leader if they plan on missing an International Sophomore Orientation event for a religious observance to ensure the student has access to any information they may miss.

Accommodation Statement

We strive to host inclusive, accessible events. If you have a disability and require any accommodations in order to fully participate in International Sophomore Orientation, please contact Miranda Kroeger at the First Year Center.
