College of Arts & Sciences

You will be emailed the name and contact information of your four-year adviser. Information on pre-registration steps will be provided for you and you will contact your adviser to arrange a time to discuss your academic interests and fall course options. After this discussion, your adviser will approve you to register for classes online during your assigned time on July 18, 19, or 20, 2023. 

Arts & Sciences students will have an opportunity to preregister for some classes. Look on the Arts & Sciences first-year student resource page for more information.

Olin Business School

All incoming business students will be assigned an academic adviser and an Olin Peer Ambassador (OPA).

You will receive registration materials from your academic adviser. You will be contacted by your adviser to discuss how to choose and register for your classes online. You will register for classes online during your assigned time on July 18, 19, or 20, 2023.

McKelvey School of Engineering

You will receive an email with the name of your four-year adviser in Engineering Undergraduate Student Services and specific information about your registration process. Review the online registration information thoroughly and contact your four-year adviser for more information or help with questions about course registration for your first semester. You will then register for courses online during your assigned time on July 18, 19, or 20, 2023. .

Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts: Architecture and Art

As an incoming student in the Sam Fox School, you are assigned an academic adviser and a peer adviser. You can expect to receive a registration packet in the mail. You will create a tentative schedule using either the Registration Worksheet in WebSTAC or by returning the “Course Request Form” included in the packet.

Course selections due date will be found in the packet. We will create a schedule with your input and, whenever possible, register you for your desired classes and/or sections. We will be in contact with you by telephone or email if we have questions or concerns about your selections.

Once registration is complete, you may view your schedule in WebSTAC. Some course adjustments may be made prior to the beginning of classes if Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, or Washington University Placement Exams require changes.
